Police Department Professional Standards
Professional Standards is tasked with investigating any officer misconduct complaints,
and with completing background investigations to ensure the
qualifications and suitability of those applying for employment with
the Green Bay Police Department. Professional Standards strives to
ensure the faith of the community in the police through fair
and
impartial investigations.
To commend the actions of an employee of this department, you can call the shift commander 24 hours a day at 920-448-3205. You may also do so by writing a letter to the employee's supervisor or the Chief of Police.
To complain about employee conduct that you believe is inappropriate, you may request to speak to a supervisor or the on-duty shift commander. As above you can telephone the Shift Commander at 920-448-3205.
If the complaint is of a more serious nature, you can contact the Internal Affairs Division directly by calling (920) 448-3245 or 448-3238. A representative of Professional Standards will arrange to meet with you to take a statement regarding the incident.
