Green Bay Police Department Honor Guard

The mission of the Green Bay Police department Honor Guard is to honor those law enforcement officers that have paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving their community.

A list of Wisconsin Officers Killed in the Line of Duty between 1996 and 2006 is available here.

The Honor Guard also strives to represent the Green Bay Police department in a professional manner at various types of events both public and private. The Green Bay Police Honor Guard consists of eighteen police officers of various different ranks.

The Honor Guard performs at various different types of functions such as:

  • Funerals for active and retired officers of the Green Bay Police department
  • Parades / Community Celebrations
  • Funerals of active law enforcement officers in the State of Wisconsin
  • Funerals of active public safety professionals in the State of Wisconsin
  • Presenting and or posting the colors at public and private functions such as Luncheons, meetings, and ceremonies.

In May 2005 The Green Bay Police Department was asked to present the colors at the Officer of Month luncheon during National Police Week in Washington D.C.  This was a very prestigious honor because only one Honor Guard, among all the Honor Guard units in the nation, is asked each year to perform at the luncheon.

If you would be interested in having the Honor Guard perform at your function contact Commander Lisa Sterr at (920) 448-3235 or by email at lisast@ci.green-bay.wi.us
