A Memorial Bench is a Wonderful Way to Honor a Person or a Special Memory!

Honor a special person or occasion with a memorial bench at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary.

A memorial bench is a thoughtful and distinctive way to honor someone or something special while helping to beautify the Sanctuary and enhance the visitor experience.

Our Memorial Bench Program allows groups and individuals to donate a bench to commemorate special events, honor individuals or agencies or as memorials to loved ones to be placed on the Sanctuary grounds.

Funds raised from the benches support the Sanctuary’s mission to “Connect People with Nature.”

Purchasing a Bench

Purchasing a bench is an easy process. All you need to do is complete the attached order form and send it to the Sanctuary along with payment.

The cost of a memorial bench varies by requested placement location and is tax deductible. Once an order is placed, it takes three to six months before the bench is ready to install on the Sanctuary grounds. The location of the bench will be determined by the Sanctuary’s needs and the donor’s wishes.

As a keepsake, donors will receive a certificate to recognize their donation.

A Lasting Memory

Memorial benches are made by the Burke Company and are constructed using recycled tan plastic wood. This means each bench is durable and weather resistant.

Each bench will be personalized with a 3 by 8 inch plaque placed on the top rail of the bench.

The plaque can hold up to five lines of text with 30 characters per line. An additional plaque can be purchased for $50 if a longer message is required.
